Decorative lighting solution along Hermanus Waterfront
BEKA Schréder has supplied the decorative lighting solution for the busy Hermanus Waterfront in the Western Cape, South Africa.
Affectionately known as “the Heart of Hermanus”, Hermanus Waterfront boasts a vast selection of more than 40 shops and restaurants located in the heart of the old Fisherman’s Village just above the Old Harbour in Hermanus. Some of the old fisherman’s cottages still stand on the piazza and are now declared heritage sites with original brickwork and walls and are now home to cozy and intimate restaurants. The old streetlight installation needed to be upgraded. The requirement was for a luminaire emitting no upward lighting and no glare. The perfect solution: BEKA Schréder’s South-African designed and manufactured KAZELLE luminaire installed on glass fibre reinforced polyester (GRP) poles.
